DS2 Developed the Command and Control (C2) Airfield Damage Repair (ADR) Simulator
Through a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) contract, DS2 developed the Command and Control (C2) Airfield Damage Repair (ADR) Simulator. C2 ADR Simulator was purpose-built for Civil Engineering’s Rapid Airfield Damage Assessment and Repair (RADR) process. We realized in developing the software that the old sand table and 3D printed models needed an update. Thus, DS2 designed Virtual Sand Table (VST) combined with C2 ADR Simulator software to enhance ADR training, mission planning and situational awareness:
- Custom attributes, equipment, personnel and mission data can be applied to the VST software based on your use case
- 3D printed models can be custom made to support your unique mission requirements
- VST can be as simple as a GIS map display, or as complex as a full workflow engine in the backend to suit your specific mission
- ATAK integration
- Custom Unity scene development
The VST can support additional custom use cases to improve operational training, mission rehearsal and scenario planning to suit your mission, visualized on the VST. The options are endless:
- Hands-on, interactive, instructor-led group collaboration for mission rehearsal and training.
- Aggregates all available information into one interactive virtual environment.
- Creates an operational picture that can be viewed locally or globally.
- Properly geolocated terrain, personnel, equipment, materials.
- Currently integrated with Rapid Airfield Damage Assessment/Repair processes.
- Delivers total awareness of airfield repair process, including location of damage, personnel, equipment, materials, repair status, and timing, powered by an ADR workflow engine.
- Near real-time dynamic display.
